A portion of Tyler Street downtown will be closed this evening, as the Junior League of Longview launches the Longview 150 Passport Program.
A parade that will line up April 18 in downtown Longview will provide lifetime memories and bragging rights that come once every 50 years.

As Longview continues its sesquicentennial celebration, one particular program aims to involve the community’s children.
<p>Two years of planning culminated Saturday night in a party that drew between 1,200 and 1,300 guests to celebrate Longview’s 150<sup>th</sup> birthday.</p>

<p>The Longview Public Library has scheduled more sessions for residents to make audio recordings of their memories of the area for the Longview 150 Sesquicentennial podcast.</p><p>Participants are asked to record audio files of no more than seven minutes each.</p>
