Feb. 15, 1952: Dust clouds from West Texas drifted across Longview and into Louisiana. The brown clouds cut visibility in Longview and Shreveport, and to a lesser degree in Tyler, Waco and Austin.
Feb. 15, 2003: Callers who hadn’t gotten into the habit of dialing 10 digits for local calls ran out of time. Beginning today, they would be forced to dial 903 plus their seven-digit number to complete a call. The change had been announced in July to give time to adapt.
Feb. 15, 2011: Pine Tree ISD trustees decided to ask voters to approve a bond issue to include a $13.7 million to $15 million 6,400-seat stadium and $10 million in renovations to the high school. No location had been selected for the stadium.
